Week 3 spring CSA here is what we have going this week:

Tastes of the Garden:
Baby green lettuce (Black Seeded Simpson)
Ruby Red Chard
Red Giant Mustard greens (spicier than garnet giant)
Tarragon
Red onion from storage
French Fingerling Potato
2 dozen eggs

The Cream of the Crop share has the above and...
Red Russian Kale
Yellow Chard
Sage
Yellow Storage Onion
White Superior Potato
German Butterball Potato
and Delicious fresh bread

The lettuce is unwashed this week.

If it is starting to seem like we are repeating ourselves with our offerings it's because we are.  This is the time of year when you really gotta be creative in the kitchen because the produce selection doesn't change.  It's up to us to change the menu with what we've been given.  Thankfully, so many people in the culinary world are starting to get it when it comes to eating seasonally.  For example, the latest issue of Bon Appetite had a dozen or more recipes that called for at least 1 spring item we  have at hand.
