Newsletter -- June 30, 2006
The last day of June... the boxes today are full of goodness and we hope that
you enjoy the first edition of the "Worker's Voice" written by the worker bees
of meadowlark farm. Boxes today include: salad mix, a head of lovely lettuce,
spinach, sugar snap peas, fennel bulb, bunch of onions, parsley, broccoli,
the first of the zucchini and cauliflower for premium shares; the last of
the strawberries for fruit shares, raspberries are coming soon!
Ah the first of the fennel. Those of you familiar with it's loveliness will
look forward to using it for sure. If you are new to fennel, please don't be
intimidated by all of the greenery. We keep the greens on so that you can use
them in salads (yum!). The fennel buld will keep best in the fridge in a plastic
bag. It is divine on the grill or in salads, with fish. See what you can come
up with!
