Fresh, Local Food for All

Meadowlark Farm is committed to providing healthy food to as many local people as possible. We have a lovely working relationship with the Fresh Food Partnership and through them, the Leelanau Christian Neighbors. Every week through the season we provide a diverse selection of fresh veggies to the food pantry in Suttons Bay. They in turn serve up to 100 families in need.

We also offer Solidarity Shares which are funded through shareholder's donations. Last year Parenting Communities distributed a share to the Leelanau Baby Pantry and to county-wide play groups. Four regular, full season shares went to three local families every week as well.  We hope this year to include the other end of the spectrum, supplying fresh veggies and fruit to an assisted living home just up the road.  Give what you can to support these shares!  Fresh food should be a right, not a privelage....
