Dear community of meadowlark, We are excited to let you all know that we have set the date for the 2006 harvest party! The harbest parth is an annual event that welcomes everyone to the farm to celebrate good food, the farm and friends. We have been blessed with wonderful weather the past 2 years and look forward to another grand day. We invite you and your families to come, bring a dish to pass and your own table settings. This potluck has become famous for its wonderful far minspired dishes, and if you want a chance to try it all, don't be late as the food gets eaten quickl! If you have a folding chair handy, bring that or a blanket. We will press cider and have beer and wine available. We are hoping to have another heirloom tomato tasting to. Please come and take a pumkin home, walk the gardens and feast on fall raspberries. THE DATE FOR THE HARVEST PARTY IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th STARTING AT 3:30. WE WILL PLAN TO EAT AT 5:30. MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!!! We hope to see you and encourate you to connect and reconnect to the people and gardens that are meadowlark... call or email for directions. Boxes today are once again bursting with summer goodies: salad mix, green curly kale, leeks, sweet onion, garlic, sweet red pepper, broccoli, melon, zukes, cukes, carrots, tomatoes, rosemary, thyme. Pears and blackberries for fruit shares. Remember to place a tomato order next week. They are $15 for 1/2 bushel and $30/bushel. Take some time to can summer in a jar!
