Kid Ranch is a community supported agriculture (CSA) farm. The farm, as seen from the photos, derives its name from the two types of kids that reside on our ranch. We have eight wonderful children and little goats that we all enjoy every spring. It's been a lot of work turning a few acres of our pine forest back into the farmland that it was back in the 1920's. We have used the trees for many projects including our log house, barn, greenhouse, and more. The experience has given us a greater appreciation for the pioneers of this country. Pete has been gardening since childhood and loves it and the food so much that this love is being passed along to the next generation as they work together. It's very enjoyable gardening with older manual equipment as much as possible giving the garden a quiet and peaceful atmosphere where the sounds of the birds and insects can be enjoyed and conversation can continue while working. In 2008 we began including others in our gardening adventure by providing five shares and visiting the local farmers market. These experiences were so rewarding for us as a family that we are expanding. We would love to have you join us as we work the soil given us with respect using organic principles and enjoy the healthy, tasty rewards of that stewardship. Our shares will average out over the season to approximately 15 pounds of produce per week. Included in each delivery will be an assortment of produce currently in season from our garden. We have a nice assortment of fruits and vegetables that we grow. I will post these somewhere in the web page as I continue to develop the site. One share costs $400. There will be 18-20 weeks of delivery. We serve Mason and Manistee counties. We currently have drop off points near Scottville and Ludington. CONTACT INFORMATION: Pete and Jill Wilson 2146 E.
